Membership

Kindly note that BASE is a Mumbai based organisation, conducting programs for school teachers in Mumbai, and hence we consider requests for membership only from persons based in Mumbai.

Individual Membership

  1. All persons actively involved in scientific research and/or science education or effectively associated with an organisation devoted to any of these or those whose participation in the activities of the Association would, in the opinion of the Executive Council be conducive to the furtherance of the objectives of the Association are eligible for membership of the Association.
  2. The classes of membership for individuals and the rates of subscription are given below:

    Class Rates
    Annual Membership Annual subscription of Rs. 75/-.
    Donor Membership A lump sum of Rs. 5000/-- paid once.
    Patron Membership A lump sum of Rs. 10,000/-- paid once.
    5 Year Membership A lump sum of Rs. 300/--.


    Institutional Membership

    1. Science clubs, Science Associations, Science Centers, Schools, Colleges or Organizations devoted to scientific research and/or education and any organisation whose participation in the activities of the Association would, in the opinion of the Executive Council be conducive to the furtherance of the objectives of the Association are eligible to be enrolled as Institutional Members of the Association.

    2. The classes of Institutional Membership offered and the rates of subscription are given below:

      Class Rate
      Annual Membership Annual subscription of Rs. 200/--.
      Life Membership A lump sum of Rs. 2000/-- paid once.
      Donor Membership A lump sum of Rs. 5000/-- paid once.
      Patron Membership A lumpsum of Rs. 10,000/-- paid once.

    Application

    All applications for membership should be in the prescribed form, which can be obtained by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope of Rs. 5/-- to:

    The completed forms should be sent to the above address along with the membership fees.

    The Executive Council will consider applications for membership and enroll members. The decision of the Executive Council in this respect will be final. Once the member is admitted, no part of his subscription will be refunded under any circumstances.
