We are happy to announce that the Symposium on Advanced Biological Inorganic Chemistry (SABIC-2009) will be held during November 4-7, 2009 at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai. This is the Fourth International Symposium on the topic being organised by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. The first Symposium on Advances in Bioinorganic Chemistry (SABIC) were organised by TIFR during October 7 - 11, 1996 and subsequently the second symposium was held during November 20-24, 2000 at T.I.F.R. The thrid SABIC was organised in conjunction with the 2nd Asian Biological Inorganic Chemistry Conference (AsBiC-II) at Goa during December 6-10, 2004. The Symposium aims to bring together researchers from India as well as abroad and keep abreast with the recent developments in this highly interdisciplinary field. Fusion and cross fertilization of ideas of active scientists working in this area are envisaged and desired during this meeting which will highlight the present status and future directions of this area of research.
