The IAU Symposium 296 is organized for researchers on Supernovae. Usually these are PhD students, post-docs, Professors and researchers who are working in this field as evidenced by some scientific publications or other equivalent information received from established workers in the field. In particular, PhD students (or Graduate students) working in these fields should have their advisors write a letter of support directly to the Symposium organizers at the contact e-mail address.

A list of the speakers invited to make presentations and their topics can be found on the Programme page. Contributed presentations are welcome. We request both invited speakers and contributed presenters (either talks or posters) to submit abstracts through the Registration page by September 15th.

Decision about the requests for participation will be announced by the Scientific Organizing Committee (SOC) by early October 2012 based on submitted abstracts, other available information and availability of accommodation and space in the Hotel complex. After this we shall ask the selected Registrants to complete the registration process by making the payments through the on-line credit card transfers on the website or through bank transfers. (We have in place the on-line credit card transfers through a secure link). Please visit the Registration page for details of payment methods.

If you have asked for a waiver of Registration fees and a grant (which will usually take care of the Hotel room and board costs on a shared accommodation basis) the decision of the SOC in this regard will also be made known in early October.

Accompanied Persons: We request that the organizers be kept informed of room and transportation requests of the accompanied persons. In particular, overseas accompanied persons should note Indian visa requirements. There is a Registration fee of Rs 9,800 for accompanied persons.
