The Indian Physics Association (IPA) invites nominations for Buti Foundation Award for the
year 2006. Instituted this year,
the award is given to a scientist
who has made outstanding contributions in the area of Theoretical
Physics, Astrophysics and Biophysics.
THE AWARD CONSISTS OF A CITATION, A GOLD MEDAL
AND A CASH AMOUNT OF RS. 25,000/-.
GUIDELINES FOR NOMINATIONS

The nominee should be an
Indian citizen, under 40 years, working
in
·
The nominee should have made
significant overall contributions as a physicist/
biophysicist.
·
Nominations can be made by
i) Any Life Member of the Indian Physics
Association
ii) Head/Chairman of a Physics Department of an
iii) Head of
any recognized research institution in
iv)
Head of an Industry in
Physics
/ Physical Sciences / other related disciplines.
v)
Executive Committee of IPA.

Nominations may be sent on plain paper or through email.
