International Year of  Physics - 2005 (India) (Organised by: Indian Physics Association, Indian Association of Physics Teachers, Indian Physical Society)

The year 2005 is being celebrated as the world as the International Year of Physics to commemorate the centenary of the year 1905 when Albert Einstein published his three famous papers on Photoelectric Effect, Special Theory of Relativity and Brownian Motion. To celebrate this year in India, the Indian Physics Association has joined hands with the Indian Physical Society and Indian Association of Physics Teachers. An International Advisory Committee, a National Steering Committee and a National Programme Committee have been constituted to create and coordinate the programmes in India.

In the first instance, the committee is planning the following programmes. This does not include the programmes being organised by other collaborating organisations and regional coordinators.

• A Birds Eye View of the Programmes
• Indian Physics Associaton Programs
• Indian Physics Association - Chapter wise programs
• Programs by University of Delhi
• Programs by Indian Physical Society
• Programs organised by other individuals/organisations
