Conference Programme
The scientific programme of LCWS06 will consist of plenary sessions of invited oral presentations, a number of parallel sessions comprising oral presentations. Organisers have already started to solicit contributions in the form of abstracts. Participants should use the Contributions button on the web page and submit the abstracts in the form of a text file online. Please note that the deadline for abstract submission is February 25, 2006.

An abstract should be a concise summary (between 100 and 300 words) of the paper. It should describe the paper and include a statement of the issue, research methods and significant findings. Abstracts should be written as one continuous paragraph. Electronic submission of abstract does not allow a simple, straightforward system to use Greek symbols, superscripts or subscripts. Authors are encouraged to avoid them as far as possible. Authors are responsible to properly classify their abstracts in the respective tracks. The names of submitting authors are expected to make the oral/postal presentation and the respective names will appear first in the abstract brochure.

This abstract submission is open to all having an account with the INDICO system at CERN. In case you do not have an INDICO account, please register yourself to the INDICO system following the queries in the login session. The conveners of the various sessions have been identified and accepted. A list of the conveners with their email addresses is given here.

The following list of topics will be covered:

Higgs and EWSB
SUSY Particles
New Physics at TeV Scale & Electroweak Precision Test
Top and QCD
Gamma-Gamma e-Gamma e-e- Physics and Technology
Loop Calculations
Cosmological Connections
Tracking and Vertexing
Calorimetry and Muons
Simulation and Reconstruction
Machine Detector Interface
Data Acquistion and Global Detector Network

The Programme Committee, with the help of the International Advisory Committee, will use these to finalise the programme.

The programme for the plenary session is being finalised. A tentative list of the plenary topics is given below:

GDE/ILC Overview
Physics Overview
Experimental Overview
ILC-India

Practical Information about Bangalore
Some of you might be concerned about events in IISc that took place in December 2005. Please take a look at the assurance given by the Institute to GDE-ILC director Dr. Barry Barish.

It is already rather warm in Bangalore. Temperature during March is expected to be around 30 degrees celsius.

There will be post conference tours for the 14th March. The program has been put on the web for sometime. Participants are requested to indicate which tour, if any, he/she would like to take part in.

Please note that there is a slight change in the program due to the fact thtat the GDE meets along with LCWS06. The banquet is now scheduled on Mrach 10 and a short cultural program will be on March 12. The cultural evening will consist of a dance program by the famous Indian Danseuse Malavika Saruukai.

There will be a telephone booth in the conference complex from where phone calls can be made on payment.

Internet facility will be available at the conference complex. There will be about 30-35 desktop computers. Wireless connectivity as well as few dhcp ports will be provided for laptop users.

A medical doctor from the Institute Infirmary will be there at the conference site throughout the conference.
