On the occasion of Homi Bhabha Birth Centenary Celebration we are
organizing a three-day workshop on "Frontiers in Gamma ray Spectroscopy"
(FIG09) at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, India,
from 2nd - 4th March 2009.
Topics:
a) High spin phenomena through complete spectroscopy
b) Phase transitions in nuclear structure
c) Exotic nuclear shapes & new excitation modes
d) Structure of neutron rich nuclei
e) Nuclei near N=Z line
f) Large gamma array and its ancillary detectors
FIG09 will be based on invited talks and selected contributions. For
the selected contributions the abstract (maximum 200 words) should be
submitted by 31st January. The
total number of participants will be restricted to about 50 due to
constraint in accommodation. Participation will be by
invitation/recommendation. Proceedings of the workshop will be
published. The speakers are requested to submit the manuscripts (max 10
pages for invited speakers and max 6 pages for selected contributions)
within 2 months after the workshop.
