I work in the field of Experimental Nuclear Physics to explore the structure and dynamics of atomic nuclei through different nuclear reactions. I am also interested for the development of the associated instrumentation for accelerator based nuclear physics experiments. The major research activities are described briefly in the following:
Shapes of rotating nuclei, new modes of excitations and correlations among nucleons through discrete gamma ray spectroscopy using high resolution gamma detector array coupled with other ancillary detector systems. (Recent Results)
Commissioning of the Indian National Gamma Array (INGA) at TIFR-BARC accelerator facility.
DSP based data acquisition system for large array of Compton suppressed clover detectors and the ancillary detectors e.g., charged particle detectors, neutron detectors and fast timing array.(Recent Results)
High resolution gamma spectroscopy experiments using radioactive ion beams at international RIB facilities like FAIR and SPIRAL.
Coulomb break-up reactions of exotic nuclei at relativistic energies. (Results)
