Patta Fort (Vishramgad)

Mumbai -> Igatpuri -> Ghoti -> Taked
-> Ekdara -> Konkanwadi -> Vaithakwadi
1.5 hours hike to top, Wonderful cave. Good
views of Avandh

Coming south (towards Mumbai) on the Nasik-Mumbai route by train, look
out to the left after you pass Devlali station. The prominent isolated pinnacle
is Avandh. Farther beyond on a clear
day, you can see the higher triangle-shaped plateau of Patta fort. It is not easy to reach the base using public
transport. Better to have your own vehicle, but be prepared for a very bumpy
ride beyond Taked. It is also possible visit Bitangad through a wonderful forested valley on the way back from Patta.
