Final Bulletin

The SUSY 2017 will be held at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research(TIFR), Mumbai. This is the third and final bulletin with information to get yourself ready to visit Mumbai. In the left column of the conference web site there are links providing useful information. We will keep updating and adding more information, please keep visiting conference web site.

Plenary talks are uploaded. Parallel session talks will be uploaded very soon. We will set up indico page,then you can upload your own talk.

Accommodation: Accommodation in the "Hostel" is arranged for whom, who has requested us. We have decided not to use TIFR off-capmus( 30 KM away)hostel in order to save your traveling time everyday. Instead, we have put our effort to arrange accommodation on campus by making few residential flats "Hostel" like. Hence, please be ready to share with 3-4 participants. It is free of cost. We will provide you bed(including mattress, pillow, linen). Please carry your personal stuffs whatever you require. Once you arrive at TIFR, please report at the Guest House(GH) reception, and collect your key. Please do not take away key while leaving. Deposit the key at the GH reception in order to share it with your room mates. Please note, accommodation is available from 10th Dec onwards.

Airport Pick up:
Participants who have opted for airport pickup, please make sure that you have filled up the arrival details (flight number, date, time) in the form on the registration page. Accordingly we will arrange for cars.

Airport information:
After arrival at Mumbai international airport (T2), participants will be picked up by private cars at Level 2. After coming out of the gate, look for a person with your “name” and “SUSY 17, TIFR”, written on a placard.

If you have not requested for a pick up, please go down to Level 1 and book a prepaid taxi. Both AC and non-AC taxis are available. A non-AC taxi may cost about Rs. 800/- to Rs. 1200/- for the ride from airport to any of the hotels where you will be staying. You should provide your hotel address while buying the ticket for the taxi.

Registration:
Registration Kits will be available at the reception of the hotel by 10th December 21:00 hrs. You are requested to collect it by the night of 10th December. It will contain information about the bus schedule to pick up you from the hotel to venue everyday. On 11th December, Morning registration desk will be open at 8:30 hrs.

Local transport :
In case, if you want to take a taxi to come to the meeting or go back to the hotel on one’s own, a local taxi (black-yellow colour) can be taken. The driver should be asked to go to the Tata Institute (located at the end of Homi Bhabha Road), at Navy Nagar (note that Navy Nagar is the better known place). TIFR is located at the end of the Navy Nagar area. Also note that one has to pay according to the taxi meter. The fare from TIFR to any hotel where participants will be staying should be within INR 100.0. In addition, app based taxi services such as Ola, Ubber are available.

Food:
Lunches, morning and evening Tea/Coffee, snacks will be served at the venue.

Excursion:
We are arranging an excursion to the nearby Elephanta caves. The caves are located on an island in the Arabian sea. This includes a boat trip to the island. The boat has a capacity of ~120 people. Participants are requested to sign up for the trip at the registration desk.

Power connection:
220 V. It is better to bring an adapter. In case, it is not possible that can be bought locally.

Currency Exchange:
You can exchange a small amount of your currency at the airport. Otherwise we advise you to do it at your hotel or at an exchange bureau in the city. One such bureau: VCK Forex Services in South Mumbai (close to the Oberoi hotel) (no commission, Govt. taxes applicable) Address: No. 619, Maker Chamber - V, Nariman Point, Mumbai 400021 Phone: 022-6632 5727. We are also planning to set up a VCK desk at the venue.

Weather:
During the first week of December, weather in Mumbai is very comfortable. It is not likely to rain. Maximum and Minimum temperatures hover around approx 30 degC and 20degC respectively. During night time, it is little chilly, but most probably do not require any warm cloths.

Warning: TIFR is located in defense area. Delegates should always carry the conference badge. No photography is allowed outside TIFR.
