Relativistic jets are ubiquitous in black hole sources at diverse settings: X-ray binaries, Active Galactic Nuclei and Gamma-ray bursts. The exact jet launching mechanism, however, has remained un-understood, in spite of the collection of a vast amount of observational data. This workshop plans to make an in-depth study of the jet triggering mechanisms in black hole sources.

  • Observation of superluminal jet emission in galactic black hole sources: examining the predictive power from multi-wavelength observations.
  • Theoretical understanding of the last mile in accretion onto black holes: hot flow, magnetic field, and catastrophic mass ejection
  • Quasar/microquasar comparison of disk-jet properties, in particular in Narrow Line Seyfert Galaxies.
  • Connection between accretion disks and jets in blazars.
  • Jet triggering in Gamma-ray Bursts.
