Women's Day

Plays, film shows, lectures etc. are organized around gender sensitive themes on the occasion of international women's day (March 8) each year.

In 2017, as part of the Women's Day, Ms Kalpana Sharma gave a fantastic talk on 'Implications for men and women due to the changing landscape of women’s rights (Should Indian Men Worry About Indian Women?)". To view pictures, click here.

In 2015, as part of the Women's Day, TIFR felicitated Prof. Shobhona Sharma for being the convenor of this cell for 17 years (1997 to 2014)! She recounted her experiences with a talk titled "Quest for Gender Amity: My experiences". To view pictures, click here.

A solo Hindi one-act play Sakubai by Ekjute theatre group, written by NadiraZaheer Babbar, with Sarita Joshi as Sakubai, was staged on the Homi BhabhaAuditorium in March 2004.
