The Department of Chemical Sciences comprises of 11 faculty members engaged in research across the traditional areas of chemistry as well as interdisciplinary research. Additionally, there are 4 adjunct faculty members with primary appointments in other departments at TIFR. The presence of a very talented workforce of graduate students and visiting fellows (postdoctoral scholars) creates a vibrant research environment. Currently the department has 51 graduate students and about 6 visiting fellows. Research is ably supported by dedicated staff of administrative and scientific personal.
