Prof. C. V. K. Baba Award for the Best Thesis Presentation in Nuclear Physics:

Since the year 2007, the IPA Award for Best Thesis Presentation in Nuclear Physics has been renamed as ‘Prof. C. V. K. Baba Award for the Best Thesis Presentation in Nuclear Physics’. The award is given in honour of late Prof. C V K Baba, a distinguished Nuclear Physicist of the country, to perpetuate his memory. The award is administered by IPA and is supported by an endowment created from donations by the erstwhile colleagues and students of Prof. C V K Baba. The award is given annually to Indian students who have either submitted their thesis or awarded the Ph.D. degree within the calendar year before the annual DAE Nuclear Physics Symposium. The selection of the awardee is made by a panel of judges constituted by the Symposium Organizing Committee.

The award consists of a Citation and a cash amount of Rs. 5,000/-.
