Prof. P. A. Pandya Endowment Lectures :
This annual lecture series is organised by the Indian Physics Association with the help of a generous endowment provided by Prof. S. P. Pandya (who retired as Director of Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad in 1988 ) in honour of his late father, Prof. P. A. Pandya.
The lecture is organized annually at one of the IPA chapters in India and is delivered by an eminent Indian physicist. The subject matter of the lecture is usually an exciting account of a recent development in physics in a particular field, which will provide inspiration to young students and information to teachers. Alternatively, it could be a pedagogical presentation of a topic in physics offering a new point of view.
The selection of the lecturer is made by the executive committee of IPA and the lecturer is paid a token honorarium of Rs. 10,000/- .
