NMR Meets Biology: An Interaction Week, January 14-19, 2016, Kerala, India
TIFR (TIFR, Mumbai, and TCIS, Hyderabad) is organising an interaction meeting on NMR and Biology during January 14-19, 2016. The venue will be Vasundhara Sarovar Premiere, Vayalar, Alleppey, Kerala, India. The meeting will formally start on the evening of January 14 and end at noon on January 19.
This meeting is second of the series, NMR Meets Biology, the first of which was held in Goa in February 2014.
The current meeting will be a mixture of workshop kind of talks and seminar presentations.
The participants are expected to arrive on Jan. 14 and leave on Jan. 19.

Kerala is one of the most idyllic locations in India, and the conference venue is right on the backwaters of Kerala.
It is a confluence of some of the most enchanting locations, wildlife, waters, hill stations, tribal areas, thick plantations,
religion (boasting of the oldest mosque in India and the oldest synagogue among the Commonwealth countries and temples of
unique architecture), spices, Arab/Portuguese/Dutch/Chinese/Greek/Roman/French signatures and settlements, cinema, literature,
and delicious cuisine.
Kochi airport is the nearest airport to the meeting venue. International flights from the middle east are directly connected to Kochi airport. Others may fly to Kochi via Delhi or Mumbai. A route

Meeting Goals
The interaction meeting will focus on the state-of-the-art solid- and solution-state NMR methods to tackle challenging issues in biology.
The workshop sessions will consist of tutorials on methods and applications of NMR to biological problems and
hands-on-sessions on structure solving and spin systems simulations.
The talks will be mainly on the methods with potential applications and survey of the modern biology aspects.
The progress made with NMR on biological system, like membrane proteins, will be highlighted.
The meeting also will have several brain-storming sessions on the future prospects, with respect to the methods and systems.
There will be only oral presenations at the meeting. The number of participants will be limited to 50.
Registration
The registration fee for attending the meeting is 300 euros for people from outside of India and Rs. 5000 for people from India.
The registration fee will cover the boarding and lodging expenses.
The fee may be paid at the venue. All speakers are requested to send in their talk abstract by November 30, 2015 to madhu@tifr.res.in (P. K. Madhu).
